Old‑world feel. New‑world strength. Paragon rods revive the legendary six‑sided composite designs that mimic bamboo’s soul while delivering modern durability, consistency, and performance. Each blank is crafted in small batches with precise tapers, clean geometry, and lifetime‑ready construction.

Carbon (Graphite) — Semi‑Parabolic Action

A progressive load with quicker recovery. Carbon Paragon blanks feature a Semi‑Parabolic action: a firmer tip and mid with a more flexible butt. This gives you accuracy, control, and balanced power — ideal for mixed techniques, tight loops, and confident lifting ability.

Ferrule Options

Chrome‑Plated Brass Ferrule
Lightweight, clean, and modern. Each ferrule is tapered in‑house, etched internally, and glued for a permanent bond. Once cured, removal is nearly impossible. The ferrule blends smoothly with the blank and can be darkened with gun blue for a custom, aged look.

Traditional Nickel Silver Ferrule
Timeless, classic, and perfect for silk wraps. Nickel silver ferrule tabs are carefully tapered and thinned, creating a seamless transition from blank to tab. Ideal for builders who appreciate old‑world aesthetics and traditional finishing techniques.

Non‑Ferruled Blanks
For builders who prefer their own ferrule system — spigot, sleeve‑over, custom metal, or experimental builds. Clean, raw, and ready for your vision.

Action Breakdown
A Semi‑Parabolic Action on the other hand, has a stiffer tip and midsection, while the butt section remains more flexible. This design allows for greater control and accuracy, making it a versatile choice for various fly fishing techniques. Semi-parabolic rods provide a balance between power and finesse, offering better lifting ability while still maintaining a smooth casting experience.
